SMiLE @ Hamburg 2013

SMiLE will have a significant presence at the 2013 Hamburg convention, providing free seminars for Lions convention attendees, hosting an online forum/debate, and helping clubs with their social media needs at a lounge which will be set up in the exhibit hall.

The SMiLE seminars will focus on social media: Introduction to Facebook, Introduction to Twitter, Introduction to Blogging, and Advanced Social Media. Continue reading

Google – googol

Google began in January 1996 as a research project by Larry Page and Sergey Brin when they were both PhD students at Stanford University in California.

Google, originated from a misspelling of the word “googol”, the number one followed by one hundred zeros, which was picked to signify that the search engine wanted to provide large quantities of information for people. Continue reading
